Quattro Labo is Club Quattro's music cafe and bar inside Shibuya PARCO, down on B1F rather than up in the mall's brighter retail traffic. It is built around a large handmade speaker system, shelves of records and CDs, and the simple idea that the music should shape the room. By day it works as a casual cafe. In the evening it becomes more of a music bar, with analogue records, drinks, and a system that has been specified rather than merely styled. The main setup runs handmade speakers by Haruo Nomura with McIntosh amplification, Technics and Luxman turntables, and an Alpha Recording System mixer. There is also a Tannoy Autograph Mini sub speaker system with McIntosh amplification. The music policy leans into 1960s and 1970s vintage rock, then moves through soul, jazz, roots music, Japanese records, and contemporary selections. Special nights bring in selectors, so this is not only a nice room with records behind the counter. Go early if you want the cafe side; stay into bar time if you want Quattro Labo closer to its intended pace.
