SLOMO

Slomo is a HafenCity listening bar on Shanghaiallee, open as a cafe by day and a cocktail bar by night. The room has been influenced by Japanese kissaten culture, but the programming already points beyond imitation: DJ sets, listening sessions, and record-led events rather than a passive soundtrack. A Captain Yossarian listening event for *Fela Kuti In Dub* brought dub, Afrobeat and hi-fi listening into the room, which is the kind of programming that separates a listening bar from a cafe with speakers. The equipment chain should be confirmed later, but Slomo already has the right public shape: a new Hamburg room where coffee, cocktails and listening sessions share the same address without pushing music into the background.
