Email hello@citycrumbs.com about anything: a question, something that isn't working, or an idea. If something isn't working, tell us what you tapped, what happened, and which phone you use.
Delete your account
In the app, tap You at the bottom of the screen, then the settings icon in the top right corner, then Delete account. You confirm it is you, with your password or with Google or Apple, whichever you sign in with. The app then shows how many crumbs, lists, photos and videos will go, and you type your username to confirm.
Deleting is permanent. There is no way to get your account back and no grace period. It removes your profile, your crumbs, your lists, and your photos and videos. Your crumbs also disappear from lists other people built, and from their feeds.
Your username is released, not reserved. Anyone can take it afterwards, and a link to your old profile would then open theirs.
A few things can stay:
- recrumbs other people made of your crumbs. They are theirs, with your name and photo removed
- reports other people filed about you or something you made, without the copy of your content, until they are deleted about 12 months after they were filed. Our Privacy Policy lists what they keep, under "Reports and blocks"
- reports you filed, without your account id or your note
- a short record, kept permanently, that your account was deleted: its old id, when, how the deletion went and how much was removed, and whether you used Sign in with Apple and we cut that link (never any code or token from Apple). We use it to finish the deletion safely and to stop deleted data coming back, including your name on other people's recrumbs
We delete or anonymise the rest of your data within 30 days, including the analytics PostHog holds about your account, except where we must keep records to comply with the law. Deleting does not reach copies other people already took, such as screenshots, or pages already cached or indexed by search engines and other services we don't control.
Can't get into the app? Email hello@citycrumbs.com with "Delete my account" in the subject line. We reply to the email address on your account to check the request is yours, then delete the account and everything in it within 30 days. We won't ask you why.
Report something, or block someone
If a crumb, comment, list or profile breaks our Terms, tell us. In the app, tap the three dots (⋯) on it and choose Report. To block someone, open their profile, tap the three dots and choose Block. To unblock them later, tap You, then the settings icon, then Blocked accounts.
If your app doesn't show these options yet, email hello@citycrumbs.com instead, with a link to what you are reporting or the username, and a line about what is wrong.
We review every report, remove content that breaks our Terms, and suspend abusive accounts, normally within 24 hours.
Privacy and terms
What we collect, and the choices you have about it, are in our Privacy Policy. For a privacy request, email us with "Privacy" in the subject line. The rules for using CityCrumbs are in our Terms of Service.
